Bramantino al Castello Sforzesco

This project focuses on visual perception and emotional engagement among artwork, space, and the viewer in a museum environment. The lighting strategy was developed to enhance the painting’s depth, texture, and colour fidelity while maintaining strict conservation standards. Soft, controlled illumination highlights the artwork’s focal elements, guiding the viewer’s gaze without causing glare or visual discomfort. At the same time, ambient lighting is carefully balanced to preserve contrast and create a calm, contemplative atmosphere. The result is a lighting design approach that strengthens the connection between the observer and the artwork, allowing for a more immersive and meaningful visual experience.
